Recently I bought the new version of the Essence eyeliner. Before I used the regular version, after that I used the waterproof and now the new one. I didn’t see much of a difference between the regular and the waterproof and plus I bought them in Germany, the origin of this brand. This last one however, I am noticing very big difference.
Essence liquid ink waterproof eyeliner with soft bristle does not stay as long, disappears on the parts where my skin touches and the rest of it crumbles very easy. Tried it over eyeshadow and without shadow and the result is the same. The previous one stayed better than this one. I don’t know if there is something to do with the country I bought it from but it is possible since there are many differences with many products.
The previous had has bristle wand and was thicker but there wasn’t a problem when I was creating a precise wing.
The new version has soft and thinner bristle. No problem when it comes to applying it but like previous stated, it does not have the same longevity.
I still have the previous ones just in case I reuse the wands and I guess I am actually going to but for applying and after that I will reuse it for nail art.
To top it all off, the old version had 4ml and the new version has 3ml and it is the same price.

It is a first time I am releasing two posts in one day.
Things about certain someone that is often called Voldemort (because of his malicious intentions and doings) are finally resurfacing. People finally got tired of his manipulations and oppression and went off. And when I write „went off“, oh boi did it went off. It started from the smaller channels and continued with Tati Westbrook.
It all starts to come together now. In every possible drama there is only one person that is always involved. Many have spoken, but we still give the the benefit of the doubt. Many smaller channels talked about this but it is something else when a big channel does it. It goes straight to the mainstream media. Although, mainstream media is often twisting the truth, just like they did with Jenna Marbles and her leaving, they have a reach – just like big youtubers have.
The silence is over and people are tired of being blackmailed.
It is just starting.
I read something interesting:
„I really don’t think Tati is a snake. She has entirely too much to lose by saying what she’s said. Maybe she’s a bit too trusting or too naive. I can’t speak on the trauma she faced, and I don’t know how much of it factored into her decisions to now.“
For people still trying to come on her and not to the other responsible master manipulator:
She’s only human. Her evident overall health declining speaks more than her words. She stated that in the end of the last year sat with James and apologized after he opened her eyes. There are many things we don’t see. If we nitpick every word we will miss the bigger picture.
People are calling out humans. When in reality, they do mistakes. Some of them take responsibility, some of them create fake evidence. Most of all, if you think all of them are full with drama, you clearly follow only them and most likely follow drama channels. Drama channels exist because people are watching them. There are so many small channels that have nothing to do with drama and only create all the time and nobody follows them because they lack just that essential thing – drama. SO, in part, people are to blame, not the creators.
And please stop comparing emotional health and how someones health is more important than someone else. I see many people involving BLM into this.

You are wrong about this one. Protest where it is important. By coming for a woman that is clearly hurt, you are doing nobody a favor. If you think someones else health is useless, you are giving BLM a very bad name! Over the coarse of one year, she admitted that she lost weigh (as soon as I saw her it was evident), couldn’t get treatment about a subject that was hard for her and continued to decline with her emotional health. Granted, because of her video and someone elses manipulations James suffered a great deal but she admitted her mistake, took responsibility, apologized.
We do not need to spread more negativity towards them but to the master manipulator in this case!Â
I am not a gossip blog. But this blog is something from everything hence me writing this.
For a while now, I’ve noticed Kat Von D Beauty doing sale on some items. Then the amount of those items on sale increased leading the prices to the point of „drugstore“ brand. It was somewhat suspicious but the brand reassured the customers that they aren’t going out of business but making room for new items. That was kind of suspicious knowing that even the lipsticks that were bestsellers were on sale.
Today, Kat Von D announced that she is selling her shares of Kat Von D Beauty. Her reason is „managing many things at once“.
But, we can’t forget that fact that after all, she was very public about some choices that she made. It makes me wonder if those choices was the biggest reason of her leaving her own makeup brand.
The brand unfolowed her on social media and she unfolowed the brand on their social media.
She must have really touched some nerves there since the brand is even responding to comments that contain strong language and cursing words that are directed towards her.
Since she made some choices public, many customers weren’t pleased with them. Granted, she is allowed to do what she decides, but she is in the public eye after all.
One of those questionable choices was: her revealing her plans for her kid’s health.
In this case, it was extremely inconsiderate to her kid and ethically questionable when she decided to publicly share her plans involving his health (you all know what I’m writing about). Later on, she finally came to her senses and stated that she will not be sharing her sun’s health involving things (it took her that long!).
It is bad enough that people share their kid’s pictures on the internet, much less their health details and charts.
She encountered with some backlash and people openly criticized her and her choices.
And rightfully so. Imagine someone revealing your health decisions and problems to the public, without consent. This makes it worse because there is kid involved. Her kid that doesn’t have a say.
She can reveal whatever she wants about herself and only herself.
This all led to people „stan“ to her but people disagreeing with her leading to them removing Kat Von D Beauty’s products from their collection or using them up but never mentioning it. Some made it obvious, some made it seamingless but there wasn’t a question that many people and beauty persons were leaving her products out.
Knowing a thing or two about business, I think that Kat Von D Beauty was facing losses and in order to stop that, they needed to make changes and remove the cause for that. Something like what Lime Crime did but only more publicly and drastically. We don’t know for sure if she sold all of her shares, but she is not the main name on the brand.

In just a few hours that her post was revealed, many has gone to their favorite social media to state that they will now be buying the, now KvD Vegan Beauty products.
I only wish people were this decisive in group boycotting and protesting about climate changes , pollution and buying less plastic. After all, this is makeup, but we don’t have another planet. Do not underestimate your power to make a better change!
Up until 2-3 days ago, media didn’t care about YouTube and the drama surrounding it. It seems really hypocritical to care about them now when there are only bad things and incidents involved. Do people really care only about the bad things?
Where was this media writing about this people when they were doing some good things. They didn’t care!Â
New York Times writing about some drama. E! news reporting on their news about this too. It is really interesting, especially because media didn’t care to write about these people and their good stuff up until they were involved in a drama and incidents so people really don’t know who they are writing about.
You have this HUGE audience, and instead of using it for good, you are using it to talk about only about the negative things! FOR CLICKS!
I could care less, but spreading only negative vibes and whet it is about bad things and ignoring everything good they’ve done only to get those clicks, that is not ok!
There were the haters, the leechers, the memes and now we are getting to the trolling part. But by the time I post this, it will be all about Tati. It is already beginning. Of course she is going to be dragged. They are going to pick everybody, like it is expected form one person to sweep up the mess that is created over the years.
They say that she only calls them out when they’ve done something to her personally. Well I don’t see anyone else doing something about it, so why should she do that alone?
They expect one person to fix the „beauty community“ while everybody else is staying silent because was too afraid it will ruin relationships and are hypocrites? That is overreaching.
Also, YouTube has removed Tati’s video from the trending page. Doesn’t surprise me after PewDiePie being constantly removed from there. „Good job“ YouTube.
Please be civil about all of this. Bullying is not karma.Â

As I said in THIS POST, I am in no way justifying his behavior, but there has to be limit.
Placing screenshots from a person that was only flerting with you, or just wanted to be sweet and polite afterwards because you rejected him and he didn’t know how to act, is not something you should tweet.
And only persons cheering that behavior is probably teenagers. As I saw the screenshots, he was only flirting. And in return he got screenshots. For what? To milk some attention out of it! NOT COOL!
There is nothing wrong with flirting. You could feel uncomfortable if you are not into it, but screenshots so you can milk some attention out of it…… NO!
People forgot how to interact and what is interaction.Â

I am not a gossip blog, neither was interested in the drama part of youtube. But some things are just too big to be left alone.
As the tiltle states, someone can make your career. But if you take it for granted and feel entitled? That same one can also break it.
Tati Westbrook is very well known and loved person on YouTube. It is funny how we focus on the bad, when we can focus on the good and writing this, I wanted to only mention her and write few words. But instead, I’m making a difference and making nice people the center of attention. Also, It is funny how we can think of so many unkind words but when it comes to compliments – we all look past them. So the focus on this post is: she has really pleasant voice, she is kind, understanding, smart and maybe more but from what is translated, as viewer – that is the summation. She has her own company – Halo Beauty. She knows how to compose a sentence without using the beauty slang and annoy half of the population 😀 OK, that was my lame attempt of a dad joke, but if you go on her channel, you can witness better ones 😀 Moving on…
She has such an impact and it is respected that with only one video, was able to stir up so much and make people think of their decisions.
I feel sorry for James Chalres at this moment because he is still a teenager that can’t handle everything that he is served with. I watched a video of him how lost he was on the red carpet of the Met Gala and even though he is the villain now, the immaturity got the best of him. It’s possible that the anger that a bully contents is not towards those people and they are not the source to the „bullys“ problem. That „bully“ is a person too and is pouring and focusing his or her anger towards the wrong person. Living with all this technology is easier to become angry and to focus that anger towards wrong people and things.
This is a „delicate“ subject in the „beauty community“. Apart from me being fed up with all the drama, canceling and shadyness going on, being frank and stating honest opinions about anything enabled individuals to do whatever, and sometimes – not that nice.
When I have time, I watch interesting content on YouTube. A while ago, James Charles was coming up with some interesting ideas for videos. I wasn’t watching his content before, but I was intrigued now. I watched a few videos and I liked them. After that, I continued exploring other channels.
But, lately, something jumped up in my twitter feed: James Charles trowing something that will cost A LOT of money. At first, I thought this was just vultures over exaggerating things as usual. Boi was I wrong….. $500 for a ticket to something from someone that is actually something from everything but at the end – nothing in particular. I mean, makeup – artist? No (he is talented and self taught). Clothing designer? No. Singer? No. Especially because he doesn’t have a single song that is his. For what is he expecting people to buy this tickets? Even the least expensive one is way too much!
If you have read some of my content, you’d know how low the salaries in the country that I am coming from are. I mean, I cant even grasp that people are just buying $60 palettes without a as much as a blink of an eye(lid hehe). So this was even worst. I mean, even in well developed countries this amount is half, 2 thirds of a salary…
I can’t think of an excuse for this.
It’s all good, until it is way too expensive to afford a simple concerts to ACTUAL musicians. Is so bad that in comparison to the past, the prices to tickets has go so much that it is getting ridiculous.
I’m going to add some examples to tickets. Granted, these are without calculated inflation, but still. So many bands and quality in one place!
And if you google tickets from before this crazyness, you’ll see what I am writing about.
Highlight and contouring are big thins as of few years ago. Makeup „addiction“ in general is big as in few years ago. Since then, we are filling our makeup drawers with tons of makeup. I get it, makeup makes us happy. I use it because it is like a way of expressing yourself. It is a form of art.
But enough about that.
Before the highlight and contouring craze existed in the non-beauty world, and even after that, improvising was and still is the way to go.
There are still countries that most of the makeup is not available. Or countries with such a small salary that very few thing are affordable from the already small available makeup amount.
So, to improvise, I used to use very dark blush as a form of contouring the back of my cheeks. Ming you, this is way before I discovered youtube videos, I had available internet more than a few documents worth of download and had to use it sparingly or even this kind of videos existed.
This next two things you use it as you would use highlight and contour. They are just labeled differently – eyeshadow.
Contouring
After that, contouring was something that not even makeup store sellers knew about. I tried darker powder but that didn’t work because even though I am very fair, there wasn’t shade that was dark enough for me to like it (I like darker, to be noticeable because it tends to disappear quickly when you don’t wear foundation – and I don’t). Or they were simply non existent. If someone was few shades darker than me, the only somewhat affordable powder was orange and really, wasn’t that darker.
So I decided to improvise. I started looking for a single eyeshadow compact that will not be orange and suit my skin tone. I was in another town and determined to find something since in my town, such thing was non-existent. So, in the rush I was, I bought slightly darker shade, but that was not bothering me since I could simply use it whenever I want and if I wanted to be lighter, I could tone it down with face powder.
Highlight
As you may or probably may not know, I only bought my first highlighter few months ago since I wasn’t into highlighting that much. It might had to do with the VERY limited amount and very expensive selection. When I wanted something, I would use a very light pink, very finely mild single eyeshadow compact. After so much videos, I finally bought my first highlighter. I don’t know If I expectations were so high because I saw it in so many videos or I just got a dud (it figures), but you can read all about that in this post that I wrote about that. Since then, I bought another one that I use everyday. Some day looks very bad (when I over-apply (sue me 😀 ) and some days looks amazing. Depends on my skin condition and my mood in general. Overall, I bought it very cheap (it might not have the pest ingredients, but hey, it makes me happy) and that makes me use it in the amount that i’m using it – too much 😀
Thoughts
I feel like companies are making me expand my makeup collection. I used to have very limited amount but at the same time used to be very inspired. Nowadays, I find myself looking in my makeup drawer, I have everything but my inspiration is not what it used to be. I still love it, but when I see all the neutrals, I always do the same brown looks. Since I wrote this post about my feeling about neutrals, I forced myself to be more colourful – as I used to be.
You might read this, probably not, but here it is. And you might think that I am just someone that writes about „I’m interested in your thoughts“ just to write something, but I genuinely am.

Trust me, you will feel way better when you pay someone a compliment instead of just scroll and pass through someone’s work.

This was a lotion that was limited edition a long time ago, but I wanted to share it with you because this product made me not buy more lotions from this brand, no matter how attractive the scents were to me 🙂
The product in question:
Body Lotion Balea – Sweet WonderlandÂ
This lotion was limited edition. Smelled like chocolate and that was the main reason why I bought it. I didn’t check the ingredients, I only read about it and most of the comments were nice for a product that was only 2 weeks on the shelves.
In the beginning it was good and had no problems. After a month of using it, I noticed chemically smell that even overpowered the smell of the lotion. After a few months, the lotion turned more liquid opposed to the beginning. And from neutral brown, turned pink. When I bought it, in was with thicker consistency. Except for the smell that turned very chemically, there was no point using it.
It was not expired and there is no mark of how many months is advisable to use it after its opening (although the standard is 24 months and at that point it definitely was not even 6 months).

Certainly I can’t buy it again because it was limited edition but I wonder whether something was wrong with mine or the other lotions from this company are the same since I don’t own any other lotion from them.
