The Winter Tag

Hi my Reader 🙂

This is probably going to be my last post for this year with name 2015 and i’m dedicating it to the winter. At this moment is so cold outside and the predictions are that on the New Year’s eve) will be -20°C… and that is very cold for the place that I live in or I’m still not used to the cold. But, that is not going to stop me from having fun. So, make yourself a hot cup of cocoa and lets begin with  The Winter Tag 🙂

Do you like the cold?

Nope. I was debating on what to write as an answer but this cold day just answered it for me. So, no is my definite answer.

What is your most worn Winter nail polish?

White topped with blue glitter nail polish.

What is your favorite clothing item in Winter?

Coats and hats.

Do you have a favorite Winter memory?

Family trips to the mountains. Sledge sliding with them. Building snowmen with them on the way back – in the middle of nowhere 🙂

Top 2 Winter Beauty and Fashion Essentials.

Again: COATS and HATS. But just to make it more versatile, I like New Year’s jewelry too.

What shoes do you tend to wear the most in the winter?

Knee high. With half high heel. They keep me warm and keep me from being late 🙂

Does it snow where you live?

Yes. But because of the global warming, the past few years it’s really cold so the snow is a rare occasion.

Have you ever made a snowman?

Um… duh…

It’s very interesting and is basically the best thing in the winter. Snow and Snowman. It can’t be better that that 🙂

Christmas Movies *BLOGMAS*

There is always good time to enjoy some nice movie. But New Year’s holidays are made for a cup of hot cocoa like the one that I prepare and you can find the post right here, and enjoy the coziness of the home with some good movies. Outside is cold, at home is warm and you have that hot cocoa..you get the point : ) Of course you can watch every movie whenever you like, but there are some movies that are especially warmer to watch them in winter time.

I don’t have that much that I can suggest, but I have few that I think that you will like.

The storyline is about few people that are searching for love. I will not tell you more, if you haven’t seen it, I recommend it. You can tell me in the comments if you liked it 🙂

 

New Year’s Eve 

 

The second one is for everyone. For me, there is no age limit for watching cartoons. If I like it – I will most definitely watch it…probably several times.

The kids will especially enjoy it, but young people or maybe even more elderly people will like it too because of the storyline.

 

Balto 

 

Based on a true story, is about a dog that is half-wolf and is rejected by the town that he lives in. Again, I’m not going to tell you much, except that it has some good points.

Hot Cocoa for the cold winter days *BLOGMAS*

It took so much time to prepare the perfect drink for this cold night. I had some kitchen malfunctions. Is the day after but I did it!

This post is going to be about a treat that everyone enjoys during the whole year, but accompanied with some other details, it just screams NEW YEAR IS COMING! 😀 The drink that sounds like a perfect idea during the winter time is hot cocoa. Tastes good, warms you up and comes in handy when you are having some company.

I’m sure that everyone knows how to prepare some good cup of cocoa so I’m not going into details. This post was just a tribute for a drink that keeps us warmer during the cold but lovely winter nights. 🙂

New Year’s and Christmas jewelry *BLOGMAS*

Hi my Reader 🙂

For me, New Year’s holidays are not complete without some jewelry. My Ney Yar’s stuff is not that big but I have enough for every outfit.

This is my last addition to the collection. I actually bought it few years ago, but I really like it. And since New Year’s holidays are not happening that often in the year, there is no need to update it all the time because I want to fully enjoy the things that I already have 🙂

I bought this earrings from ACCESSORIZE few years ago. They are just so cute. Because they are multicolored and, let’s be real, it’s New Year, I can wear them with many colors and different outfits.

Obviously, they look like Christmas trees decorated with multicolored ornaments. The base of the „Christmas tree“ looks like present with wrapping.

And few more pictures from them because they are so cute. 🙂

Winter, New Years, Christmas nails *BLOGMAS*

Hi my Reader.
For todays Sunday post, I prepared topic that I am usually more good at, but for some reason, I couldn’t find better pictures so this will have to do the job. 🙂

I always have naturally long nails. Sometimes I trim them and sometimes I don’t have time for that and I end up breaking them from caring my luggage. For this New Year I will have short nails. You know the drill: you break one and you have to cut all of them. I don’t think that I had nails this short since few years ago when I regularly played on my violin. I miss them because I think that I am so used to them to the point that I can’t function properly without them. Nevertheless, I have to work with them. So, I find some pictures from years ago: what they were painted with. This is going to be a throwback as well as the design that I currently have.

I never cared about the age limits and I will never care. That’s why, I bring the Christmas mood even throughout my nail design.

This first picture is from 2013 and I had to capture the nails because they lasted 15 days without chipping or budging. Only the „ornaments“ (and now when I see it, maybe the Christmas tree a bit 😀 ) on the tree faded a bit. In the beginning the colors were more vivid. For 15 days of good manicure without chipping, I thought, I might as well take a picture 😀

On this picture are my nails from 2014. As I base I used white, I put some blue on the bottom with a sponge and I topped it with blue sparkly polish that I really like and remind me of winter.
As per usual, I took the picture right before I remove the nail polish.

And because It’s not yet Christmas or New Year, I don’t have the design from this year, but I still have kind of wintery design. Blue nail polish, silver glitter polish and topped with blue sheerer glitter polish.

You can see a pattern here. I like white and blue nail polish for the winter, but that doesn’t mean that I will wear only those colors exclusively. I wear classic red or burgundy too. But, that depends on my mood: what clothes color I like to wear.

New Year’s songs and Christmas Carols *BLOGMAS*

I’m sure that you already bust out your new year’s songs and Christmas carols. They always bring up the Christmas mood.

I always liked the Christmas carols and I’m listening to them performed in different ways.

One of my favorite Christmas songs is Let It Snow – the version by Dean Martin. He has very calming voice and the song lyrics simply warm the heart. Whenever I hear it, it always makes me smile.

Now it’s easy to find good Christmas playlist, one that really helps in bringing the Christmas mood. Just type „Christmas songs playlist“ on you tube, choose and enjoy the holidays. The selection is very versatile and you can find something for everyone’s taste, mood and different atmospheres.

This is not necessary a Christmas song but it sounds so Christmassy to me. I like listening to it all year long but especially in the winter.

Christmas Sweaters *BLOGMAS*

Hi my Readers 🙂

Christmas is coming. I couldn’t have chosen better time of the year to start my new blog because there is always something interesting to post around Christmas and New Year. I decided do make some content for blogmas since I enjoy decorating, wearing Christmas jewelry, listening Christmas carols and everything that is connected with this time of the year. And, of course, the snow and making a Snowman 🙂  It doesn’t matter how young you are, there is never any age or other limit that stops you from enjoying some time in the snow.

I really like Christmas sweaters. They look cute and I would definitely always wear them. But in my country, we don’t have a tradition of wearing Christmas sweaters and the stores don’t tend to bring them. So, the only one that I could find was one with Disney character – Olaf from the cartoon sensation from few years ago: Frozen. Luckily I liked it…so I bought it. Also, Olaf is very funny in that cartoon and looks so happy on the sweater so when I see the reflection in the mirror, it always makes me smile 🙂

Because today is the #ChristmasJumperDay I thought I’d share it with you since I haven’t worn it yet.

I have few other sweaters and jumpers that my close relatives brought to me when they were traveling in other countries, but it’s still early for Christmas and New Year so I will save them for later 🙂

Let it gooo.. I mean.. Snooow 🙂

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger tag

I saw this tag and I like reading it, so even if I’m not tagged, I thought: what better way to get to know me a little better than with a tag. It’s old, but still popular. And I added this photo to go with it because I liked the clouds in the sky the day that I took it and I thought, why not add something good for the eye too 🙂

Name a beauty regimen that you rarely do?

While I have too many bottles with body lotion, body butter, body everything and I rarely use body lotion on my whole body. But that’s the case in winter. The weather is cold enough. I don’t need the cold lotion to cringe my body even more. I enjoy buying them obviously because of the smell. Now I need to put them next to the fireplace so I can actually use them 🙂

Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly? 

I don’t use every brush for every makeup look, so I can get away with only using one or two brushes that I usually wash after I do my makeup.

How long will you last with chipped nail polish?

Depends on what nail color I have on and how chipped the nail polish is. I have long nails more often than I have short, so it is very noticeable if I have dark nail polish on and it’s chipped. If I have light color, I get away with wearing it or correcting it more than few days in a row, but only if is not too damaged.

How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?

The thing with me is I keep buying new products while I still have few similar products already open. But it still depends on the product. Because I have more than I actually use in skincare, I’m not in a hurry to replace it, but if is the one face cream that I regularly use, I buy it in advance.

What is your worst beauty habit?

I don’t know if it’s considered a beauty habit, but I more often wear full face makeup without foundation on (especially when I have clean, acne – free face) and can get away only with concealed on the spots. I only use foundation when I have to go on a big event when I have to have „photoshopped“ face for the professional photo.

Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?

Playing on my violin… and singing… and dancing. I used to play all the time, but then motivation happened and I lost it somewhere on the way of not being able to live my life as I want to.

When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?

If I have time, I take my time and it takes reeeally long, but in steps. And in between those steps I can eat, drink some coffee and do some other stuff and go back to preparing. So at the end, it’s really not that long. If I don’t have time, I can get ready in few minutes.

Can you commit to spending bans?

Yes. Very well. But again, it depends on the things that are banned 🙂

How organized are your make-up and nail polish collections?

Really good actually…but the thing is – my stuff gets all around the table when I’m getting ready and I usually just stuck them in the places that they need to be without placing them in the right order because I don’t have time when I’m going out…because I take my time getting ready, all right 😀

International Tea Day

Hi again my Readers 🙂

Today is the International Tea Day and I wanted to dedicate a post and a picture to the tea that I drink every day. And every day is a different one.
This is 100% natural tea. The herbs are handpicked and usually has even more vivid and intense red color because of the st. John’s wort.
While I’m enjoying this cup of tea by the fireplace, I wish you a good evening.

Ziaja med face cream & DENOVA pro lotion

This post will be about skin care for the face.

       I have been a fan of Ziaja for a long time. I use their products all the time and one of the small numbers of things that I keep repurchasing is one face cream of Ziaja. I will try to make posts about their products (at least the products that I use) and make it easier for you to make an opinion whether you should buy some of their products, or not.

Keep in mind that I bought all of these products by myself, this opinions are my own and might not meet the results that you are searching for due to the difference in the skin.

       When It comes to skin care on my face, I try to combine two items from the same line so I can use them together and see the results. When I was buying this two, they were out of stock of some products, so I combined 2 products from DENOVA pro and the original Ziaja company. In case you didn’t know, DENOVA pro is a branch from ZIAJA.

 

Ziaja med face lotion & DENOVA pro face cream 

 

Ziaja med face lotion

Zaia MED, antibacterial face toner (description from the official web page):

„ Gently cleanses the skin. Helps reduce sebum and soothe acne lesions. Restores skin natural pH. Reduces feeling of epidermis tension. Prepares the skin for further cosmetic treatment. Fragrance, alcohol and colorants free. “

The bottle contains 200 ml. of product. It cleanses my skin, removes the residue of the makeup that I may wore. The interesting thing for me is that is fragrance and alcohol free and I like that because it makes me think that it really works, is not more damaging my skin and does not leave a weird taste around the areas of my mouth.

 

DENOVA pro face cream 

DENOVA pro, antibacterial cream (description from the official web page):

• Reduces bacterial growth.
• Works to normalize sebaceous gland activity, helps control the excessive skin oiliness.

Active ingredients: compound of the oleanolic and nordihydroguaiaretetic acids, nori algae, provitamin B5 (D-Panthenol), Salicylic acid, vitamin C.

The packaging contains 60ml of product. I really like this product but I use it sparingly because they don’t bring it in my country anymore and I can’t seem to find it anywhere. For those who like matte skin, this mattifies it reeealy well, it’s perfect for a long-wearing makeup (under the foundation) and the most beautiful thing is that works well at cleaning acne. I get acne from time to time and I use this cream locally (only on the acne) and it dries them overnight. So, If you have really oily skin and you can’t find something that doesn’t make your makeup slide off your face, this is a product that I think it will work well.

 

This two product together make a good surface for applying makeup for oily skin: the lotion cleans the oiliness from the skin and the cream helps the face stay matte all day long.
