Lacalut lip balm

This post is going to be about Lacalut’s lip balm.

I have a favorite lip balm that does not create an addiction to the skin (if you don’t know what I am writing about, I will make post just for that and dedicate it to this subject) and I am almost running out of it. So I decided to try something new. I try something new once in a while but I always go back to the same one (I will make a post about that one too 🙂 ).

 

The past few weeks I’ve been using Lacalut’s lip balm. At first, it seemed good. Soft, smelled sweet and it was moisturizing my lips. After a while, I’ve noticed that whenever I used it I had problems with the skin on my lips. I don’t like exfoliating my lips because the skin on the lips (together with the skin around the eyes) is the most sensitive one and I don’t want to irritate it even more and cause damages. And If I don’t exfoliate too much, there is no need to exfoliate it often because it does not gather up and does not renew itself as much. As an example: I has only one place on my lips that I used to bite all the time and now, that place is renewing itself so much and it causes my lipstick to gather up there and look very bad. So, that is my experience and that is why I choose not to exfoliate.

Now, on the subject. I applied the lip balm before sleeping and when I woke up, I’ve noticed that my lips are moisturized but were sooo chapped and there was skin in the inner parts of the lips so much that it was uncomfortable. I know it seems gross but that is what happened. So, I decided to use it throughout the day as well. I applied it many times in a day and noticed that If I don’t, my lips were getting chapped. And there it is: another way of addicting lipstick.

Now when I’m writing this, I applied another lip balm that is really stiff but it’s not addictive and does not cause dry patches.

dm’s Balea eye make up remover

Balea eye make up remover

In my last post I wrote about another eye make up remover from the same store but from their different line – alverde and you can click here if you want to compare this product and that one.

This product I bought in the time when I realized that wet wipes are damaging my skin SO BAD (click here for more about that subject) and if they were damaging my skin, they were probably damaging my eye area even more. I know that this is a touchy subject and don’t want to read about it, but if you want to have better skin in the future, I suggest considering using micellar watter or face milk. It is just a step more – placing the lotion/micellar watter on a cotton round. But…enough about that, let’s get back to the subject.

I bough this to try it for removing the makeup from my eyes and I bought it together with this Balea lotion.

How I use it: few drops on cotton round, place it on the eyes, wait for few seconds and then swipe the cotton round, repeating until clean.

Now I am probably more aware about the ingredients and if I read them, I would probably not purchase this product just because I am placing it on my eyes and face.

Does it work: It works really good and removes the makeup. I even saved a little so if I don’t have small size for traveling – I could grab this. Does not burn the eyes. The plus is that to me it smells really good.

Alverde Eye Makeup Remover with Bach Flowers

I bought this because I wonted something good for removing my eye makeup as well as nourishing my under-eyes because every time I remove my makeup from my eyes, I am left with very dry skin under my eyes. Especially because it is from chamomile and chamomile it’s known for it’s calming and soothing effects on the skin.

I gave it a good try. Used it for a white until I’ve noticed that there are probably better products for removing the makeup from my eyes. It’s not bad, just not good enough.

Now I keep it in my travel bag (cosmetic bag with things that is ready for a trip). If you want me to do post about my cosmetic bag that I use for short trips – write me a comment and I will gladly do that 🙂 But I keep it there just in case because it is not something that I would gravitate for.

Because it is in cream form, I have to use few drops of water on my cotton round and then put a drop of it on the cotton round. Maybe it is because I got used to liquid removers so much that I forgot to use this kind.

If you have lotion or micelar water that works good for removing your makeup – it’s better to use some of those.

The „perfect lighting for picture“ struggle

Hi my Readers 🙂

 

As someone who functions better at night, the good light for picture is out of the question. And I’m sure you know where this is going.

As someone that writes on this blog just because I want to and I want people to know how different products are performing (and some occasional writing-type posts) I have camera, phone and buying professional lighting is out of the question. Especially because I know that this days the pressure for better quality picture is high but also because with that – we are losing the passion for writing.

I made this post to remind you that it’s ok if you post high-quality content and don’t concentrate so much on the perfect picture.

I’ve noticed that I stopped writing because I can’t get „the perfect“ picture form the product that I wrote about. That is going to stop. And I advice you do that too. 🙂

After all, we are writing about a product, it’s not about the „perfect“ picture. 🙂
