29 – th of February

Hi my Reader 🙂

29-th of February only happens once in 4 years. And only happens once in 4 years that I get to call it “one whole month after my Birthday” 😀 Also, it is my 20th post 🙂
I really wanted to make it memorable and make a post, but instead of making a beauty post (that I really didn’t have time to do because my PC was getting some pimping 😀 ), I decided to go with this picture of the sky that I took few days ago. Scarlet sky with blooming almonds in the shadows. I hope that you are having a wonderful day.

#KissAndMakeup anti-bullying campaign

Hi my Reader 🙂

I can probably spend 1 month on writing about this subject. And if you are here and you are reading this, you are probably not the one that SHOULD be reading it because I know that a bully does not spend that much time trying to confront with his or her problem, but instead spends his or her time harassing the others that chose to expose their lives to the public eyes. It’s possible that the anger that a bully contents is not towards those people and they are not the source to the „bullys“ problem. That „bully“ is a person too and is pouring and focusing his or her anger towards the wrong person. Living with all this technology is easier to become angry and to focus that anger towards wrong people and things.

Just because that bully is not here to read my little post that actually should be thousand words, I am posting this picture and hashtag as a representative of those thousand words.

Don’t response angry to anger. Instead, pour some positivity on someone that left you some negative comment and make someone’s day better through making him or her think that not everyone is a bad person…and also can probably feel ashamed that commented so badly.

Keep in mind that sometimes the language barrier is making people post something completely wrong that is really not intended to come out as an offense. That is why there are so many reasons not to answer to anger with anger.

Wet wipes – mistake for the skin

Wet wipes – mistake for the skin

Hi my Reader 🙂

So far, I’ve read about so many absurd things and the worst one so far is: dermatologists recommending not to use tonics and lotions, but to choose wet wipes for removing the makeup. Using eye and face creams in 20 – 25 year old skin when are meant for mature skin. I cannot understand how a dermatologist could and would recommend that!

Wet wipes are very rough. Imagine what happens to the skin when is been cleaned daily with wet wipes that are so harsh, in the process of cleaning they are being exfoliated and most of the time chemically not suitable for the skin. And after that roughness you continue to perform peeling to the skin with another product? Oh that poor skin.
And with the combination of solution and chemicals that puts them to remain moist for so long… Aside the fact that they are not cleaning the skin but leaves traces of makeup. Is not that bad if its used only for superficial removal of the foundation. But for cleaning the skin? No. Just…NO!

Wet wipes are not intended for sensitive skin, especially for the skin on the face and not to mention – AROUND THE EYES. All wet wipes are associated to a baby, and we all know for which part of the baby they are used 😀 And after this, people are still using it for the face. Here you will immediately think of the ones that are “intended for the face.” To me there is no particular difference, except that on the ones for the face, there is no baby on the packaging 😀

I used to use them for such a long time until I finally realized that my skin has become so bad, rough, unhealthy looking and in such a bad condition.

And I understand why everyone are using them – they were practical and the process of removing the makeup is going quickly, but at the expense of the beauty of the skin on the face. It began to appear red, dry (especially around the eyes) and when I noticed that it looks scary in daylight, there was the end of the wet wipes era for me. Formerly I had no need to use foundation powder because I had no need for it, but now I have damages because the skin is not the same as it was before using the wet wipes. I am in the process of restoring it, but so far, I see a looong journey. Everything that matched my skin (creams, milks, lotions, tonics…) is no longer working for me and I am in constant search for new products.

I still have a pack of wet wipes but I am not even using them for fast cleaning of the desk. That’s how much I dislike them now. I keep few in my purse while I’m traveling because of obvious reasons, but that is it.

My recommendation:

Why use wet wipes when you have such a good selection of cosmetics that is quite affordable and long lasting? Lotions, cleansing milk and micelar watter is always a better idea and should always trump the wet wipes.

Of all those who have this opinion, nobody thinks bad for you but is only trying to help. If there was someone to tell me a while ago that this would happen only because I choose to use the “easier” solution, now I wouldn’t have problem with my skin and spend all this money a time changing the cosmetics and looking for at least one cream that suits my skin.

I can write more and more but I think that you get my point. Do you have similar experience and what do you think of wet wipes? I would really like to know so I’m looking forward for comments on this subject 🙂

I hope that you will find my opinions helpful.

Clean & Clear blackhead clearing cleanser: oil-free and Clean&Clear dual action moisturizer, oil-free

Hi my Reader 🙂 Today’s post is going to be about skin care.

Clean & Clear blackhead clearing cleanser: oil-free.

Lotion: blue packaging, currently looks like this

lotion

Before I start writing, I would like to add a disclaimer that this is my opinion that corresponds with my skin. The product is bought by me.

I do not recommend intensive use and use without breaks for any skin type. It is not intended for those who have dry skin. For those with combination skin, pay special attention not to over-dry the skin because it contents alcohol.

For those with combination skin: Use it only on the parts that need purification (areas with blackheads or acne), usually means the t-zone. If you use the part where there is no need, you’ll end up with dried skin.

For the ones with oily skin – use (example) 2-4 weeks and then take a break and in meanwhile use a mild lotion. I give this recommendation because you cannot see the negative effects while you are using it intensively for a long time.

The way I used it: put 3 drops of water and 1 drop of this lotion on a cotton round then gently cleanse the skin.

I had oily skin that changed into combination. This happened mainly because I was using wet wipes for removing the make up for a long time (my biggest mistake), even though I took good care of my face with using tonics, lotions, creams and SPF creams. Followed by this lotion that I used intensively and without breaks, I now have dry skin that flakes.

I want to point out that this lotion cleanses the skin, but is very strong and again – it’s not supposed to be used for long time without making a break. The lotion itself is not bad and there is no need to avoid the use, but be cautious with overusing it.

About the product:
200ml

As I mentioned it in some of my previous posts , when I buy cosmetics I try to combine one it with another item from the same line. SO I tend to buy at least 2 products from a line.  I did the same with this line.

Clean&Clear dual action moisturizer, oil-free

moisturizer

I started to use it from some time ago. Since it has very liquid texture, is suitable for any time of the day. After the first use, the reaction was coldness so I immediately checked the ingredients. It contains a derivative of menthol that cools the skin and is sometimes used in cosmetics for a nice smell. In combination with other compounds, It’s also used for cooling effect and to reduce redness. So, It is very refreshing on warm days :D. So, it is not burning but Is more like cooling sensation. In any case, there is no need to panic.

This moisturizer has good effect on blemishes and pimples, so If applied before bed, I usually wake up with reduced redness. The cooling sensation does not bother me. As I wrote, It suits me when summer is really kicking in =) So, If that cooling sensation is the reason not to use it, feel free to use it without reservation.
