Hi my Readers π
This is not the glazed donut you were all thinking about (hint: Nikkie Tutorials) but it is still a very nice highlighter.
I have bought several essence highlighters and I don’t really know if I like them or not π
Lets start with this one.
What it claims and ingredient list:
My impressions:
This is white highlighter with white specks of glitter that are not particularly intense. It is really brightening and if you use it like me – with heavy hand – can look little white-ish on the face. So the part where it claims that this is from white to dark skin tones – not the case. If you have medium or slightly darker skin, you can still use it as an eyeshadow or eye corner highlight but not as much like face highlight. So it is probably you pick up some other shade.
I use this highlighter as base since it is not enough for me (I like reeealy intense highlight). I place it as base on the highest points of the back of the cheeks, continue it applying it in C shape and motion towards the brow bone and that’s it. After I continue with another shade of highlighter that I apply only on the upper back portion of the highest part of the cheek (come to think of it, a diagram would’ve been better π ).
If your skin is really pale, this can be used as brightening highlight (not powder since it has the specks of glitter) or if your skin is little less pale (is that even a thing) you can use it as base and mix it up with other highlighters, like I do.
As you can see, it is little banged up since it traveled through states and cities and it is still in good form.
On these pictures, the light is in the other room and this is a reflection (also a blurred one for comparison):
Have you tried some of the essence highlighters and what are your impressions?
Have a nice one,
Antidote π
