Shadowbanned on Instagram? Did the things that I wrote about actually worked?

Not that long ago I noticed something was keeping my posts to be seen on Istagram. I didn’t knew what was going on untill I dig through the internet and found out what was going on. I was shadowbanned. If you want to read about all of that,  here is the posts with all of my tips and what I did to lift the shadowban. I wrote that I will update you if it will work.

After signing in through my personal computer (to come to think that there was a time where you couldn’t do anything about instagram on a personal computer and now everything that depends is there…), went through the instructions and found out that there was a parasite app that I haven’t even downloaded. After removing all of the permissions given to that app, I uploaded few pictures with the hashtags that I used to use with a few changes. I immediately noticed a change since I immediately started to receive likes and comments on those pictures.

Safe to say that there is a way of lifting the shadowban (even though you haven’t done anything to provoke one). So if you are shadowbanned, click this link and follow the instructions there. I recomend waiting a day just in case and you should be fine and you will get those likes in no time 🙂

Oh, and a bonus tip. If you are from or visited Antwerp/Antwerpen, apparently it is wrong to travel or live there so that hashtag (the location) is flagged as inappropriate…go figure.

Do you like your posts to get more atention? Here’s what to do

Hi my Readers 🙂

This is platform where everyone creates content. Other that passion for creating that content there are few things that are essential for content creators to stay motivated even more.

I created this blog to share opinions on products and raise awareness about different topics. I have other blogs, but this one in particular is about sharing beauty stuff that can be useful to others.

With creating content comes feedback. Sometimes is bad, sometimes is good. But the worst of all is when there is no feedback at all.

I take time reading nearly all of the posts that appear to my READER page. Sometimes I like, sometimes I wait for the next post. But the main thing is:

I ACTUALLY READ YOUR POSTS

After all, do what others would want. And maybe some of that will bounce back and others will do what you want.

I take time and comment on your work and more often that not I compliment on things that I notice and are good.

So, this post’s tip from me is:

Read others posts, like others posts, comment on others posts. Because, isn’t that what you want for your blog?

Trust me, you will feel way better when you pay someone a compliment instead of just scroll and pass through someone’s work.

Shadowbaned on Instagram? Your pictures are not being seen? Hashtags not working? Here’s what to do

How is it going. Are you getting frustrated from your favorite social media? Me too.

Your engagement on Instagram is reduced? Your posts are not showing up even though you have been using hashtags? Here is why.

Instagram is my favorite social media. I don’t have anything „favorite“ so this is saying A LOT!

I had some problems with the tablet that I used to transfer my pictures from my camera and I haven’t posted a lot on instagram. But, I have been so active with insta-stories, liking and…well…liking some more posts.

Everything started to go down since the algorithm changed and I wasn’t enjoying instagram as much. I used to spend hours until I scrolled to the photo that I last seen the last time I was on instagram. And that is a lot (trust me 😀 ). After that, I made a mistake and updated my app. It was showing me the local insta stories that I was absolutely not interested in. With scrolling on the explore page, I wasn’t seeing those pictures, but the whole account from the picture I clicked on. It’s got to a point where I am afraid to update the app again because I might like it even less and I don’t want that.

I stopped using instagram for at least several months and when I started using it again, I wasn’t that active as before.

When did I notice the lack of engagement on the posts? 

When I post pictures, I always use hashtags and as soon as I press the „share“ button, I have few likes. I don’t get that much, but still, I like seeing that my posts are being seen by anyone. Few days ago I’ve noticed that after posting the photo, the only likes I’ve got were from 3 of my folowers. That mens that anyone else can’t see my photo. I was wondering what was going on since I don’t post so much.

How did I know what was going on? 

I did some research when I notice the lack of activity (only 3 likes? I call that LACK of activity) and turned out that there is a thing called „shadowban“ and not only that, but some of the hashtags instagram has banned and if you use them, your profile gets automatically banned. Your pictures are not showing on the explore page or under the hashtags that you used.

Which hashtags are banned? 

I’ve seen a lot of absurd hashtags. You as beauty bloggers are affected because #beautyblogger is banned. Some are even more ridiculous: #books #brain #Kansas #citycentre and many more.

What is the reason behind the banning? 

Apparently, to prevent the harmful posts to get to the users.

What NOT to do? 

1. Don’t use the banned hashtags (I think it goes withouh mentioning) bit the problem is – no one knows which ones are banned.
2. Use the same hashtags over and over again.
3. Don’t use third party app.
4. Don’t follow and unfollow very fast

How to know? 

1. Your activity is not as big as it was.
2. You don’t get as much likes.
3. You don’t get followed.

Is it a way to check? 

Yes, there is. I did so much research on this subject and read so much articles written by people that did even more research and thankfully, I’ve read this article and it provides you with an app. You can use this app to check if any particular photo is shadowbanned. (Obviously, I’m not payed or anything, just supporting someone that did research and providing you with the link to that post).

What to do BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE? 

First of all, here is another article for you to read before anything else and follow the instructions. (Again, obviously, I’m not payed or anything, just supporting someone that did research and providing you with the link to that post)

In the article, you’ll notice a part with login in from desktop version of instagram – DO THAT IMMEDIATELY! I’ve noticed apps that I haven’t authorized to manipulate my account. Remove them IMMEDIATELY to be assured that you won’t be banned again.

I just did that. If anyone is interested, ask me in comments and you will be informed as soon as I check this.

At the end….

I am probably not a big factor for instagram, but they should surely listen to their users. After all, we a re here for them every time they place an ad on our timeline.

Marion hair color; star color; dyed my hair in strange color; extensive REVIEW

I dyed my hair. In strange color.

This packaging even matches my nails 😀 It wasn’t intentional. I painted my nails way before I purchased the hair color 😀 Anyway, back to the topic.

It is not the first time and probably won’t be the last. This one is a big dial because I finally achieved (a little bit of) what I wanted to – my hair to be blue-teal -ish. At least part of it.

Finding color…well…hair colors: I wasn’t able to find hair color that will be in different colors (other that blond, brown, black or red)  for a long time. And even when I did, to be honest, I didn’t wanted to spend that much money on one little tube. So when this colors were actualized by the beauty-lover persons on the internet, I finally came in touch with less expensive colors (which, keep in mind, were still very expensive). Recently, a beauty-lover told me that there is new hair color. Of course I had to try it. And the biggest plus of all is that it was way less money.

Previous attempts to have blue hair: when I had very long hair I decided to bleach it. I did that and applied blue hair that I had from long time ago on few strands. I loved it. Mixed with the yellow undertone on my hair, it turned out teal. But I ran out of that color and continued wearing my hair as it is until I cut half of it off.

This attempt: keep in mind this few things before judging this hair color:

• I DON’T experiment on my whole hair, only the lower part
• my hair was previously dyed dark blond
• after that, instead of toning the orange tones I ended up dying it with very dark blue hair color with ammonia (I guess one dot in whole bunch of hydrogen peroxide was still too much). I rinsed it after 5 minutes when I saw what was turning into. I used vinegar and a shampoo that is not gentle with hair color.
• it was darker but at least the orange tones were toned down
• tried a strand test to see if I had to bleach it and how it will work (as show on the 1. picture).
• I decided to lighten it just a little and I put only few pinches of bleach that didn’t even dissolved so the hydrogen turned it a bit orange (picture 2.). Not sure how much because while the hair was wet I applied the color shampoo (picture 3, wet hair).

The process through pictures from the explanation above:

1. tried a strand test to see if I had to bleach it and how it will work (as stated, the color of my hair is not as copper as my camera shows it. The battery was really low for me to try and fix the tone so I just took few photos as it was. So, keep that in mind.)

The hair color and the company: Marion is polish cosmetic company. The „star color“ line is a new one.

 

I had used „dark blonde“ before to tone down a bleached hair color without damaging it too much.
I also used copper (have no idea what was the name) oonce and It turned out good.

Previous experience with this company: I used their color shampoo. They are ammonia-free and they are not damaging the hair (at least not as much as the regular hair colors). I used it on my grandmother (may she rest in peace) and it covered white hair very good. On her, I used dark blond (was turning out brown because she had white hair) and with time it faded into blond.

I had used „dark blonde“ before to tone down a bleached hair color without damaging it too much.

The results: unlike the strand test (that turned out really good considering that my hair was dark) I followed the instructions when I colored my whole hair. On the strand test I only placed the color. When I applied it on the whole hair I massaged the hair until it foamed (according to the instructions). I think that If I only applied it without massaging it until it foamed, it would’ve been better.

Did I like it and what to improve: I like the fact that I finally can purchase something that will not be pain to my wallet. There is space fore improvement since I did this in a hurry and not entirely as I should’ve. Patience is key with this colors.
Also, the next time I will not massage it until it foams. I will only apply it as it is. From the strand test I’ve noticed that it works better that way.

Pictures: the color of my hair is not as copper as my camera shows it. The battery was really low for me to try and fix the tone so I just took few photos as it was. So, keep that in mind.

The packaging and the ingredients (I guess, I don’ t understand a thing and there are no directions in English):

 

 

 

 

The color: 163 – ocean blue or lazur

The packaging: I REALY LIKE the packaging on this hair color. I is divided in two packs and this comes in handy if you don’t need to use the whole hair color.
In each pack, there is a cap so if you don’t need to use the entire pack, you can just put the cap on it. I’m not sure if it will hold that much. It is hard to get the color out of the pack but just in case – store it upwards 🙂

I just researched it and noticed that there is a darker version of this hair color. It is called „jeans“. If the store I bought this one from had that, probably would’ve purchased that one.

I had to put this one with my hand. The hand is not there intentionally, it just floated there so I won’t move my body too much when I placed my hair nicely 😀

When you head over to the OTHER POST on this hair color, you can see that I am very satisfied and I really like my hair color. Because I like more turquoise than regular blue, I leave some yellow while bleaching so I can get the right turquoise color.
